Medical or Biological Technical Assistant - Human Molecular Immunology Lab | MTA / BTA - Human Molecular Immunology Lab
Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein
Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Medical Technical Assistant (MTA) or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) to join the newly established Human Molecular Immunology (HMI) Lab at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). The lab focuses on investigating immunological mechanisms in genetic inflammatory disorders, particularly the role of inflammatory cell death. Day-to-day responsibilities include essential molecular biology and biochemistry techniques such as purifying recombinant proteins for cell-free in-vitro experiments, designing and cloning plasmid DNA, and transfecting DNA into mammalian cell lines. A critical component of the role involves conducting animal dissections using genetically modified mice. The ideal candidate must have a completed MTA or BTA qualification, mandatory experience in recombinant protein purification, and hold a FELASA-B certificate. Fluency in English is advantageous for communication within this research environment.
