Job Summary

This role seeks a qualified Civil Engineer to serve as the Deputy Head of the Building Department for the City of Zwingenberg. The successful candidate will manage a comprehensive range of municipal civil engineering tasks, including planning and executing projects related to sewer systems, general civil engineering, road construction, and structural engineering works. Key responsibilities involve coordinating street rehabilitation, planning new transportation projects in collaboration with regional authorities, and managing wastewater network maintenance. The position requires budget control, preparing budget submissions for water, sewer, and road products, and overseeing project tendering and construction management for various municipal civil engineering projects. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive public sector compensation (TVöD EG 11) and requires a completed degree in Civil Engineering, relevant professional experience, and strong knowledge of German construction regulations (VOB, HOAI).
