Job Summary

As a Master or Technician in Information Technology / Network Technology, you will be instrumental in ensuring the secure and reliable energy supply to your region and enabling renewable energy plants to feed into the grid. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining and troubleshooting network technology, including routers, switches, wide-area transmission devices, Wi-Fi access points, and fiber optic/copper communication cables. You will coordinate construction activities for communication networks on-site, ensure thorough documentation, and perform inspections and maintenance on cables and cable termination equipment in various facilities. A key part of your role will be managing, steering, and billing external service providers for network construction and maintenance. You will also be a crucial part of the on-call team, quickly locating and resolving disruptions, especially those caused by severe weather. This role offers a challenging yet supportive team environment, focusing on continuous communication and reliable network operation.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training, supplemented by further qualification as a Technician or Master in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Communications Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in information technology or network technology
  • Experience with network technology, including routers, switches, and transmission devices
  • Experience coordinating construction activities for communication networks
  • Experience with inspections and maintenance of cables and cable termination equipment
  • Experience supporting and managing external service providers
  • Experience with on-call duties and disturbance resolution
