Job Summary

The City of Warendorf is seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Digitization and IT Services to lead its municipal department. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for defining the fundamental IT strategic direction and ensuring the smooth daily technical operations for the city administration and local schools. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing, coordinating, and steering the department to ensure economic and service-oriented work. You will continuously address current digitization and security requirements, establish efficient structures and processes, and foster a healthy and motivated team environment. The role requires close collaboration with team coordinators for Project Management and IT Service Operations, acting as an internal consultant, and aligning closely with the Executive Board and City Council. Ideal candidates must possess a relevant university degree (e.g., Informatics or Business Informatics) or equivalent experience, coupled with multi-year professional background in IT, preferably within public administration, and proven leadership skills.
