Job Summary

The Project Engineer will be crucial in managing SCADA Communication Gateway components within High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) control technology projects for Siemens Energy. Key daily responsibilities include drafting and maintaining technical specifications and manuals, managing signal lists through clarification with internal interfaces, external customers, and suppliers, and configuring the central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) and other protocol converters. The role demands hands-on system integration and commissioning, ensuring flawless communication between components during signal tests in test setups located in Erlangen and Forchheim. The successful candidate must possess a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Computer Science, along with professional experience in control technology for energy transmission systems. Advanced understanding of SCADA systems, knowledge of protocols like IEC 61850, and fluency in technical English are mandatory for this complex project environment.
