Job Summary
This permanent, full-time position in Amberg seeks an experienced Firmware Engineer to drive the development of communication modules within the automation technology sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include embedded software design, implementing firmware components primarily using C, C++, and Matlab Simulink, and ensuring strict adherence to normative standards, architectural guidelines, and quality policies. The role requires close collaboration with hardware design teams, implementation of communication connectivity via Frontbus (ASIC), and rigorous testing and documentation of all development work. Candidates must possess a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Informatics and bring several years of professional experience in embedded systems development, coupled with expert knowledge in the required programming languages and tools like GIT and PC-based debuggers.
