PhD Candidate in Immunology (Protective and Pathogenic Antibody Responses) | Position - Project P01 "Protective and pathogenic antibody r
Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein
Job Summary
This PhD position, part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) 3095, focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of B cell responses and antibody-mediated immunity at immunological barrier organs, specifically within the subproject P01 concerning murine food allergy. The successful candidate will conduct a doctoral research project investigating how individual IgE clones drive food allergy and their relationship to allergen-specific IgG clones that inhibit allergic reactions. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous experimental work, including the use of mouse models, flow cytometry, and advanced molecular biology techniques, coupled with the analysis and interpretation of high-throughput datasets like scRNA-seq. The role requires active participation in the RTG's structured qualification program, offering comprehensive training, workshops, and access to state-of-the-art technologies such as single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, making it an excellent opportunity for scientific networking and advanced qualification in cutting-edge immunology.
