Job Summary
This position is for a PhD Candidate to join the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) 3095, focusing on protective and pathogenic antibody responses at immunological barrier organs. The successful candidate will execute subproject P06 at Kiel University, investigating the mechanisms behind IgA+ B cell generation specifically in lung tissue. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting advanced doctoral research, generating single-cell interactomes of murine B cells, and applying bioinformatics for high-throughput data analysis (e.g., scRNA-seq). Key requirements include a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, an excellent command of English, and motivation to use statistical software like R. Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or a related discipline, fulfilling formal requirements for doctoral candidacy

- Professional experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques (advantageous)
- Experience applying bioinformatics approaches for the analysis of high-throughput datasets
- Experience with R or comparable statistical software (desirable)
