Job Summary
The City of Königswinter is seeking an experienced and responsible Area Manager for Road and Civil Engineering to lead a team of 17 employees within the municipal construction yard service area. This full-time, permanent position involves the autonomous management and coordination of daily operations across road construction, civil engineering, and cleaning services. Key responsibilities include personnel leadership, preparing and monitoring construction sites, and maintaining the entire road and path network. The role requires planning and executing minor civil engineering projects, drafting necessary specifications, and independently managing external contractors with a budget volume of approximately 200,000 EUR annually. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background (Technician, Master Craftsman, or Foreman qualification) in civil engineering, strong organizational skills, and the willingness to participate in on-call and flexible special services like winter and flood response.
