Job Summary
This PhD Student role focuses on cutting-edge translational infection research within the Anti-Viral Antibody-omics group at TWINCORE, a joint institution of Hannover Medical School (MHH). The successful candidate will characterize protective antibody responses in humans and develop novel antibody-based antiviral therapies against viruses like HIV and SARS-CoV-2. Daily responsibilities include conducting complex S1 and S2 experiments, such as flow cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing, recombinant antibody expression, and animal experiments. A key component involves subsequent data processing, including bioinformatics and statistical analysis. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in natural sciences (e.g., immunology, life science) and possess practical experience in cell culture, protein expression/purification, and/or working with small lab animals. This fixed-term, 0.65 FTE position offers competitive remuneration (up to E13 TV-L) and integration into structured PhD programs within an innovative, international research setting.

Master of Science or equivalent in natural sciences (Life Science, Immunology, Veterinary Medicine, etc.)
Experience
- Experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, plasmid cloning, protein expression, and purification
- Experience working with small lab animals (mice)
