Job Summary
This Data Engineer role involves taking technical responsibility for data integration, focusing on the design and implementation of complex ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS. A key part of the role includes migrating legacy systems to modern cloud architectures, such as Azure or AWS, and optimizing existing data pipelines through performance tuning and rigorous data quality assurance. You will be responsible for the continuous development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture and modernizing classical ETL towards technologies like Python, Docker/Kubernetes, and dbt. The position requires a degree in Business Informatics or equivalent, coupled with several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, strong SQL skills, and fluent German, offering an unlimited contract, project autonomy, and flexible, hybrid working opportunities.
