Job Summary

This role seeks an Electrical Engineer or Technician specializing in Switchgear and Substation Planning to become a key figure in energy infrastructure development in Weinheim/Mannheim. The primary responsibilities include the detailed primary technical planning and design of high and extra-high voltage substations. You will conduct essential calculations, dimensioning, and construction documentation, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. Daily tasks involve utilizing CAD software like AutoCAD 3D or Primtech for design work, generating parts lists, and performing complex calculations such as short-circuit and lightning protection analysis. Furthermore, you will manage project execution, ensure quality assurance for external engineering services, and serve as the main technical contact for construction teams and clients. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, possesses strong CAD skills, and is ready to contribute actively to the future of energy technology in a permanent, full-time capacity.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (ideally with a focus on Energy Technology), or a Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering/Energy Technology. Alternatively, a comparable technical qualification in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning high and extra-high voltage systems, particularly primary technology (beneficial)
  • Experience in creating technical planning documents and material lists
  • Experience in project steering and quality assurance
