Job Summary

This critical role involves acting as the client-side representative, leading and steering diverse public construction projects, including road construction, civil engineering, and flood protection measures, along with managing sports, recreational, and green spaces. Day-to-day tasks include developing concepts, conducting feasibility studies, performing initial cost estimates, reviewing designs, and managing planning consultations and site meetings. A key responsibility is the steering and monitoring of projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Furthermore, the Project Manager handles all aspects of public procurement (construction, planning, and supplies), manages the budget, oversees the application and processing of public funding, and prepares for committee meetings. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in civil engineering or construction technology, significant professional experience within municipal administration, and expert knowledge of German public procurement law (VOB/HOAI/VOL). This position offers a varied, responsible role within a supportive, family-friendly public sector environment.

State-certified Technician in Construction Technology (focus on Civil/Road Construction) OR Degree in Civil Engineering (focus on Road Construction) OR Administrative Assistant qualification or comparable qualification
