Job Summary
The DZNE is seeking an experienced Linux and High-Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer to join their central IT team in Bonn. This role is crucial for designing, operating, and continuously developing the central HPC and scientific computing systems supporting cutting-edge research across 10 sites in Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and managing NVIDIA GPU solutions, participating in the planning and construction of BeeGFS clusters, Slurm workload managers, and InfiniBand switches, and performing physical rack and stack operations in the data centers. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses relevant experience with HPC hardware, GPU systems, and InfiniBand, and is proficient in Linux HPC environments, Slurm, and parallel cluster file systems.
