Job Summary

This role offers a motivated student the opportunity to join a global leader in semiconductor solutions, focusing on research and development within power systems and IoT. The trainee will be primarily responsible for hardware design, including schematic and layout development, and comprehensive system validation. Day-to-day tasks involve working with microcontrollers, configuring firmware, performing datalogging and scripting, and extensive testing of power Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). A key focus area is motor control validation, requiring adjustment of inverter settings, performing speed and torque profiles, and competitive analysis. Success requires a solid foundation in electrical engineering, specific knowledge of motor control applications and inverter topologies (like BLDC/PMSM), and familiarity with CAD systems and simulation tools. This temporary, part-time position is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology that drives green and efficient energy solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Motivated and committed student (Bachelor or Master level) in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Sciences or similar.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware knowledge combined with applied software skills
  • Genuine interest in becoming familiar with laboratory testing equipment
  • Ability to configure evaluation boards under guidance
