Job Summary

The Government of Lower Franconia is seeking a highly engaged Scientist or Engineer to join the Technical Environmental Protection department. This crucial, permanent full-time role focuses on enforcing immission control laws (Immissionsschutzrecht) and actively supporting the energy transition in Lower Franconia. Day-to-day responsibilities involve executing environmental protection regulations, providing expert support to district administrative authorities on immission control matters, and contributing to the expansion of renewable energies (wind, solar, hydrogen) and necessary grid adjustments. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant technical or natural science field (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energies, Chemistry) and possesses strong expertise in technical environmental protection, particularly in air pollution control, noise protection, and non-ionizing radiation safety.
