Job Summary
This critical role in Burbach involves overseeing the chemical aspects of product development within the defense technology industry, focusing specifically on energetic materials. The Process Development Chemist ensures systems are safe, reliable, and meet the highest global standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing compatibility studies of energetic substances, conducting technology scouting for new explosive processing methods (such as casting, pressing, and homogenizing), and optimizing mechanical process engineering techniques. You will plan and execute complex test series for manufacturing plant commissioning, lead projects—especially those focused on obsolescence mitigation—and provide expert chemical guidance to engineering teams. Success requires a Master’s degree in Chemistry, proven experience with energetic materials analysis, and fluency in both German and English, offering a long-term, secure career path within a high-responsibility and innovative environment.
