Job Summary

This role involves joining DB InfraGO AG, a key part of one of Germany's largest engineering firms, to help manage essential railway infrastructure data. The (Junior) Specialist will be responsible for the quality-assured transfer and maintenance of critical rail geodata, including topology and track network information, within the AVANI Geographic Information System (GIS), utilizing GeoMedia software. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring the precise availability and provision of GIS data products for internal DB users and external third parties. A significant component of the role is performing comprehensive data quality management, involving preparation, rigorous checking, balancing, and linking geodata with various other IT systems. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Geoinformatics, Surveying, or Geodesy, possesses strong knowledge of GIS, and understands track alignment and track network data. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the long-term sustainability and realization of Germany's rail infrastructure.
