Job Summary
TÜV SÜD is seeking a dedicated Chemist to join their team, focusing on the safety and compliance of drinking water contact materials and food contact articles. This role involves coordinating and professionally processing customer inquiries, providing expert consultation on testing projects based on current national and European legal frameworks, and managing laboratory testing. Key responsibilities include planning and controlling lab tests, interpreting results, generating reports, and providing legal assessments. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry or Food Chemistry, possesses fundamental knowledge of organic chemistry, and ideally has experience in the testing and legal evaluation of these specific material types (e.g., UBA-BWGLs, Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004). The position requires strong communication skills, customer orientation, and the ability to work independently and reliably. Experience
- Professional experience in testing and legal assessment of drinking water contact materials (UBA-BWGLs, DWD) or food contact articles (Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, LFGB) (Ideally)
- Experience in conducting operational inspections for monitoring factory production control (Implied by responsibilities)
- Professional experience in a related field (Career starters welcome with appropriate training)
