This role involves developing, planning, and executing drug design strategies within early-stage pharmaceutical research for a global leader in the pharmacy and crop protection sector. The Medicinal Chemist will optimize lead structures using SAR/SPR data, ADMET properties, and target selectivity, while applying computer-aided design methods like Schrödinger Live Design to enhance molecular development efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include close interdisciplinary collaboration with biology, pharmacology, and patent law departments, interpreting biological test results, and coordinating external research partners (CROs). The ideal candidate must possess a university degree followed by at least five years of advanced training as a Clinical or Medicinal Chemist, or comparable multi-year professional experience, with strong expertise in drug design, project management, and strategic planning.
