Job Summary
This role involves working within the Environmental Control Systems (ECS) domain at Airbus Commercial in Hamburg, focusing on managing the electrical power requirements for the next generation of aircraft. The engineer will be responsible for understanding the electrical characteristics of the future power generation system and deriving applicable electrical requirements for ECS. Day-to-day tasks include driving technical discussions, ensuring compliance across design offices and suppliers, and assessing proposed electrical architectures to de-risk future technological components. The goal is to ensure the ECS architecture meets key performance metrics, including electrical power consumption, weight, reliability, and heat dissipation, contributing to an optimal aircraft design. The position requires strong electrical engineering knowledge, excellent communication skills, and negotiation-level English proficiency.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- Strong knowledge of the electrical power characteristics of aircraft
- Experience in power electronics development (strong asset)
- Experience in Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) (strong asset)
