Job Summary

This role involves serving as a System Administrator specializing in Citrix environments within the IT department of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), a key regulator in the German and European financial sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, continuous development, and security of the BaFin Citrix environment, which supports nearly 3,000 employees. Key daily tasks include managing changes, applying patches, performing maintenance, and administering user profiles using Ivanti Profile Management. This position requires a strong background in IT, either through a relevant university degree or extensive professional experience in operational Citrix environments, coupled with a commitment to security protocols and the ability to work effectively in project-based structures. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH Diploma) in (Business) Informatics, IT Security, Electrical/Information Technology, or comparable field (grade 'satisfactory' or better) OR University degree enabling access to the higher civil service OR Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker)

Experience

  • Mandatory: 5+ years of relevant professional experience in an operational Citrix environment (if qualifying via vocational training or non-IT degree)
  • Professional experience in IT systems operation
  • Experience working in projects or project-like structures
  • Experience with agile working methods (desirable)
