Job Summary
This senior leadership role involves heading the Hardware & Safety Components department within Functional Safety, Embedded Systems, and Automation at TÜV SÜD. The successful candidate will provide disciplinary and technical leadership for a substantial team of 30-35 employees, managing task coordination and personnel planning. A core responsibility is ensuring technical and quality assurance for testing and certification of hardware and safety components according to critical functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 13849) across diverse sectors such as rail, industrial plants, and automotive. The role requires an Engineering degree and extensive professional experience in functional safety, offering the chance to strategically shape the future direction of safety components and new technologies while working within a flexible environment. Strong German and English skills are essential for international collaboration and reporting.
