Job Summary

This Ph.D. research position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct advanced research in experimental physics, focusing specifically on developing and applying sophisticated dosimetry techniques within the cutting-edge FLASHlab@PITZ facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying and developing strong numerical, statistical, and simulation methods, particularly in the fields of detector physics and radiation physics, to accurately characterize particle beams and measure radiation doses. Day-to-day work involves hands-on experimental characterization of particle beams, complex data analysis, and utilizing programming skills to support simulations related to beam dynamics. This role requires an excellent university degree in experimental physics, a strong theoretical background, and excellent teamwork abilities. It provides a unique chance to contribute significantly to high-impact accelerator science research within a collaborative, international setting, demanding a very good command of English for effective communication and collaboration.
