The Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Thüringen is seeking a dedicated Geoinformatics Specialist to join their Cost Carrier/Statistics department. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing geodata to support regional healthcare planning. Day-to-day tasks involve creating detailed maps, dashboards, and thematic visualizations illustrating patient and physician distribution across Thuringia. A core function is analyzing geodata to identify regions that are medically underserved or overserved, and calculating accessibility times for services. You will also develop and automate complex analysis processes and manage the configuration and ongoing development of essential GIS applications. This position requires a completed degree in Geoinformatics or Geography, proficiency in standard GIS tools like QGIS, and knowledge of programming or scripting, particularly SQL. Strong analytical skills and collaborative communication are essential for engaging with internal IT and specialized departments.
