Job Summary

This role involves working as a Research Associate within the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Knowledge Transfer, and Start-ups at Merseburg University, focusing on the accompanying research project 'Digitalization' for the KAT network and supporting research management using the HISinOne-RES system. Day-to-day tasks include developing, testing, and evaluating concepts for research competence atlases, research process management, and research data management (RDM). The associate will conduct interviews for needs assessment, provide consulting and active support to researchers on handling research data throughout its lifecycle, and document and publish project results. Key requirements include a scientific university degree, preferably in Information Science, Data Science, or Informatics, strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and experience in independent scientific work. The position is attractive as it contributes directly to societal transformation and regional structural change through digitalizing research processes within a supportive, campus-based university environment.
