Job Summary

The Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) is seeking a meticulous and reliable Technical Assistant to join the Core Facility Bioimaging at the Biomedical Center (BMC) in Planegg. This part-time (50%) role is crucial for supporting multiple research groups by establishing and executing workflows for antibody-based multiplex imaging using the Miltenyi MACSima platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and pre-treating tissue sections, conducting antibody detection experiments, operating specialized imaging equipment, and performing digital image analysis using specialized software. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification (BTA, MTA, CTA, PTA, or equivalent Bachelor's degree) and possesses solid knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, or microscopy techniques. This position offers an intensive onboarding process, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international research environment at one of Germany's leading science locations, with the initial three-year contract aiming for extension.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), CTA (Chemical Technical Assistant), PTA (Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant), or comparable qualification, or a Bachelor's degree.

Experience
