Job Summary

The University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) is seeking a Head of Operational Excellence to join their IT management team and drive digital transformation. This role is crucial for optimizing and streamlining administrative IT processes, including procurement, license and contract management, internal communication, and recruiting. The successful candidate will analyze existing IT processes (e.g., Service Management) to develop innovative automation solutions and will be responsible for establishing and leading structured IT Project Management. Additionally, the role involves leading a small team, acting as a sparring partner for the CIO on strategic topics and KPI reporting, and actively shaping the IT transformation as part of the IT Leadership team. Candidates should possess a degree in a technical or commercial field, a strong affinity for IT processes, and experience in at least three key operational areas like IT procurement, Service Management, or Project Management.
