Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to actively shape the future of higher education IT in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) as a Platform Engineer for HITS.NRW, a newly established central IT service provider. The role involves managing the setup, continuous development, and operation of a highly available Community Cloud and Multi-Cloud portal. A core focus will be optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating scaling and monitoring processes to ensure smooth deployments and rapid release cycles, working closely with development teams. You will also be responsible for building and operating observability solutions for incident management and stability analysis. Candidates must bring 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Platform/Cloud/DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments, deep knowledge of at least one Public Cloud, and expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
