Job Summary

This role involves developing, programming, and maintaining Geographic Information System (GIS) components for data acquisition, management, and presentation. The GIS Developer will be responsible for consulting clients on implementing customized GIS solutions, creating setup and data processing concepts, and managing data migration projects. A crucial part of the job is conducting software testing and quality assurance checks to ensure high standards. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Geography, Surveying, Geoinformatics, or Civil Engineering (preferably with a focus on settlement and water management), or comparable training. Experience with software development technologies like C/C#, Visual Basic.Net, Java, Python, and SQL is desired, along with knowledge of relational Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Oracle and SQL Server.
