Job Summary

This role is a fixed-term position focused on ensuring the quality and safety of food and consumer cannabis products through rigorous laboratory analysis. The Chemical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting sensory testing and detailed wet chemical analyses of animal and plant food ingredients and additives. A core technical duty involves performing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) investigations. Beyond analysis, the technician will handle general laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, data management within the Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS), and maintaining quality assurance standards. Furthermore, the role involves contributing to method development and validation, and mentoring apprentice Chemical Laboratory Technicians. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or CTA, strong IT skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Prior experience in wet chemistry, HPLC/NIR, and laboratory quality management is highly beneficial.
