Job Summary

The University of Münster is seeking an innovative and internationally visible researcher to fill an Assistant Professor (W1) position in Organic Chemistry, with a tenure track leading to an Associate Professor (W2) level upon successful evaluation. The initial appointment is for three years, extendable for another three. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the entire field of Organic Chemistry in teaching across major and minor chemical degree programs, as well as teacher education programs, and participating in academic self-governance. Candidates are expected to develop an independent research profile in areas such as new synthetic methods, natural product synthesis, biologically active compounds, or functional materials. This role requires close cooperation with existing research groups within the Institute of Organic Chemistry and the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future research landscape and secure a permanent academic position in a collaborative environment.
