Day-to-day tasks include performing outdoor bat surveys, identifying common species using detector sounds, conducting detailed call analysis and data evaluation using specialized determination software, and interpreting recorded data. A critical component is the creation of expert reports and technical contributions regarding species protection legislation, including knowledge of onshore and offshore bat surveying guidelines, particularly concerning wind energy facilities. The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge in bat science, is physically resilient, holds a Class B driving license, and is prepared for nationwide deployment during the mapping season.
