Doctoral Researcher | Doctoral candidate (f/m/d)
Unknown Employer
Job Summary
This Doctoral Researcher position, based in the Clinic for Gastroenterology, offers a unique part-time (65%) opportunity to investigate the pathogenesis of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) using a globally unique cohort of patient samples. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue a doctoral degree over the initial three-year term. Key responsibilities include extensive bioinformatic analysis of complex omics data—specifically single-cell proteomics (SCP), spatial transcriptomics, and RNA sequencing. You will also be tasked with validating identified signaling pathways using patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and performing essential biochemical, molecular biological, and pathological analyses. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant life science field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry) and possess prior experience in both experimental and bioinformatic research. This role is highly attractive due to its focus on cutting-edge techniques like deep visual proteomics and its contribution to fundamental translational research in proteotoxic stress models.
