Job Summary

The Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) in Mainz, Germany, is seeking a motivated Data Manager to cover a parental leave, initially for one year. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering the FAIRDOM-SEEK research data sharing platform, assisting researchers in meeting data management guidelines (DFG, EU), and performing quality control on datasets for repository submission. The Data Manager will also handle data access requests, manage associated legal processes, and educate staff on best practices for research data management and integrity. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant scientific or computational field, possesses experience with big data and data repositories, and demonstrates excellent English communication skills, thriving in a diverse and international setting.
