Job Summary

This role involves serving as an IT Service Specialist within the Braunschweig Police Department, focusing on maintaining and supporting critical IT and communication infrastructure. Key responsibilities include the installation, configuration, operation, and repair of various IT systems (e.g., analysis PCs, info terminals, image capture stations) that fall outside the central IT department's scope. The specialist will ensure the operational readiness of ICT connections and network structures, provide technical consultation for IT-enabled operational equipment like body cameras and secure mobile communication (SmK), and manage device inventory and ICT revisions. Candidates must possess a qualification as a State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering (Data Processing/ICT) or as an IT Specialist for System Integration. Strong PC networking skills and expertise in Microsoft Office are mandatory, alongside flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic public safety environment.
