Job Summary
This role involves joining the Infrastructure Service Team, focusing on system and network administration within a hybrid cloud environment, spanning from an internal data center to Azure, M365, and JIRA systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include the maintenance, optimization, and automation of the IT infrastructure, developing concepts for continuous improvement, and administering Microsoft Windows Servers and Storage Systems. The System Administrator will also be responsible for scripting process automation, managing cloud services like Azure Entra ID and Exchange Online, and overseeing on-premises virtualization, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm environments. Key qualifications include a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent vocational training, two years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of networking, server operating systems, Active Directory, and PowerShell. Fluency in both German and English is required, making this an excellent opportunity in an engaging, international work environment in Berlin-Dahlem.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, supplemented by equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
- Two years of experience and responsibility in system administration
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure and server operating systems
- Deep knowledge and experience with Active Directory and PowerShell
- Experience in the administration of M365 and Entra ID
- Experience in the administration of JIRA – Service Management projects and/or programming JIRA workflows is desired
