Job Summary

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning and implementation of new construction, modification, and maintenance measures for traffic telematics systems (telecommunications systems) in accordance with the German Fee Schedule for Architects and Engineers (HOAI). Day-to-day tasks include comprehensive project management, managing the tendering, awarding, and invoicing of engineering services, and leading and steering external engineering firms. This role is critical for ensuring safe mobility and smooth flow of goods across Germany's extensive highway network. Candidates must hold a degree in relevant engineering fields (Traffic, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering) and possess several years of professional project management experience. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) / Bachelor) in Traffic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Traffic Technology / Traffic Telematics, or comparable experience and qualifications.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in project management
  • Experience with telecommunications technology / remote signaling technology (Desirable)

  • Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing to drive company vehicles. Position is in a sensitive work area (potentially susceptible to corruption) requiring specific reliability checks.
