Job Summary

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) is seeking an experienced Head of Division to lead the 'Standard Software and Platforms' unit in Bonn. This critical leadership role involves managing a team of twelve employees and overseeing the architecture, support, and configuration management of standard applications and software platforms that form the foundation for further standard applications within the organization. A key focus is ensuring operational testing and quality management for these standard systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in IT, particularly in IT operations, and possesses excellent motivational and communication skills. This position requires a Master's degree (or equivalent) in IT Management, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of professional IT experience and at least two years of leadership experience managing a multi-person team. The role is integral to supporting BaFin's supervisory functions, contributing to a stable and competitive German financial system, and requires a commitment to project-based work and strong digital competencies.
