Job Summary

The Specialist Export Compliance and Dangerous Goods Management will be responsible for ensuring regulatory adherence across all material data and shipments. Day-to-day tasks involve building and maintaining a material database within SAP, including the precise classification of sales items, spare parts, and components according to customs tariffs and export control regulations (such as EAR, ITAR, and ECCN). This role requires close collaboration with internal project teams and external manufacturers to clarify technical specifications for accurate classification. A crucial part of the job is coordinating with German authorities like Customs and BAFA regarding binding tariff information and goods list inquiries. Furthermore, the specialist will classify and monitor dangerous goods according to road, sea, and air transport regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in engineering or a comparable qualification, strong analytical skills, and extensive experience in material classification and export control, complemented by excellent proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and both German and English.
