Job Summary
This role involves serving as a crucial link between technical requirements and commercial viability for electrical engineering projects. The Technical Estimator will analyze complex customer requirements and design appropriate technical solutions, subsequently calculating and documenting detailed project costs in close collaboration with the sales department. A significant part of the job includes procuring and negotiating services with subcontractors and suppliers, participating in contract award discussions, reviewing contracts, and handing over finalized projects to the project management team. Furthermore, the role requires actively contributing to the continuous improvement and development of the calculation system alongside purchasing and sales teams. Ideal candidates possess a technical background, preferably as a Master Craftsman or Technician in Electrical Engineering, coupled with initial experience in project planning and estimation of electrical systems, strong commercial acumen, and familiarity with relevant legal frameworks like VOB/BGB.
