Job Summary

This role is a pivotal opportunity to lead the Accounting and Tax team for a prominent pet insurance company focused on continuous development and digital processes. The Team Lead will be responsible for preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to German Commercial Code (HGB) and Insurance Accounting Regulations (RechVersV), while also managing statutory reporting. A key focus will be ensuring the correct and complete mapping of all business transactions in the general ledger and technical insurance sub-ledgers. The successful candidate will drive process optimization, conduct analyses, and provide comprehensive reporting to stakeholders. This position requires proven experience in insurance accounting, strong leadership skills to manage and develop a five-person team, and the willingness to integrate or develop knowledge of IFRS 17 reporting and balancing. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential, with familiarity with MS Dynamics 365, ADDISON, or Winsure being beneficial.
