Job Summary

This role involves the planning, development, and maintenance of advanced Conversational AI and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems for one of Germany's largest insurance groups. The engineer will be responsible for programming Voicebots, integrating Conversational AI and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) engines, and configuring/training NLU models to accurately recognize customer concerns. A key part of the job includes connecting IVR systems to backend services, developing necessary interfaces like REST or SOAP for data exchange, and selecting/integrating Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) providers, focusing on strategic Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) such as AWS, MS Azure, and GCP. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or relevant professional training combined with several years of practical experience. Strong analytical skills and a self-reliant, results-oriented approach are essential for success in this challenging and rewarding position.
