Job Summary
This role involves providing essential 1st and 2nd-level application support and system administration for municipal specialist applications, such as election software (Votemanager), registry systems (VOIS MESO), and library software (BibliothecaNext). The IT Specialist will be responsible for the installation of hardware and software, analyzing and resolving technical disruptions, and coordinating closely with external service providers, software manufacturers, and internal departments. Key duties also include planning and executing updates, tests, and migrations, contributing to new application introductions, and supporting digitization projects. The ideal candidate must possess an IT qualification (e.g., IT Specialist or Technician) or a relevant administrative degree with strong IT affinity, coupled with good knowledge of MS Client and Server operating systems and MS Office products. This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position offering flexible working hours, including the possibility of up to 50% remote work after the probationary period.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Technician, Service Technician) OR Completed administrative training (minimum Bachelor/Diplom-Verwaltungswirt or completed Verwaltungslehrgang II) in the public sector
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or public administration with high technical affinity in IT
- Experience with municipal specialist applications (e.g., registry, meeting management, electoral software) is implied
