Job Summary

This role involves leading or deputizing the Preanalytics/Sample Reception Department for a leading human genetics laboratory located in central Munich. The primary focus is ensuring the seamless organization and coordination of sample intake, managing processes from initial reception through rigorous quality control checks (including completeness, plausibility, and documentation integrity) to forwarding samples to the specialized departments. A critical component is acting as the primary interface manager, liaising effectively with internal physicians, the laboratory team, and external submitters. The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in Biology or Biotechnology and possesses several years of professional experience in sample management or laboratory organization, preferably within the field of human genetics. Success in this position requires strong organizational acumen, proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and standard Office applications, and either proven leadership experience or a readiness to assume management responsibilities for the team.
