Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced PLC Programmer to develop sophisticated automation solutions for industrial applications, based in Cologne. The engineer will be responsible for the planning and conceptual design of PLC and Process Control Systems (PCS) from various manufacturers, managing projects independently within industrial plant engineering. Key responsibilities include creating electrical documentation for control technology, drive systems, and instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, collaborating closely with in-house panel builders, and conducting function tests and customer acceptance procedures on-site. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or a relevant technical qualification, possesses profound knowledge of PLC and I&C technology, and is comfortable acting as the central point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal departments. Fluency in both German and English is required, along with a willingness to travel for business.
