This role is for an experienced Development Engineer to join Siemens in Erlangen, focusing on automated series production test equipment for power electronics components. The successful candidate will develop both hardware and software solutions, utilizing test and monitoring data to ensure robust and economical manufacturing processes. You will oversee products throughout their lifecycle, from development to semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on continuous process improvement using LEAN methodologies and statistical analysis. This position requires a professional comfortable with high system voltages up to 1000V, ensuring compliance with normative requirements and safety standards in manufacturing and testing facilities. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics
Experience
- Several years of experience in measurement and circuit technology of power electronics
- Practical experience in current measurement up to 1000A (preferred)
- Experience with statistical evaluation methods (Six Sigma Green Belt)
- Experience with quality assurance procedures
- Experience with value stream-oriented process optimization
- Experience with LEAN Methodologies
