Job Summary
The City of Friedrichshafen is seeking an IT Management Consultant/Specialist to join the Department for Digitization, Smart City, and Information Technology. This crucial role focuses on IT management, procurement, and controlling for the city's internal IT services, which support over 2,400 clients across 95 locations, including municipal offices and schools. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts based on EVB-IT models, managing IT projects and procurements, developing IT strategy for the city's 14 schools, and creating IT standards and concepts. The position also involves acting as the deputy head of the department and executing tenders according to public procurement laws (UVgO and VgV). The ideal candidate must possess a strong IT background, good business and legal knowledge (including data protection and procurement law), and proven leadership and organizational skills, offering a secure, modern workplace within a dynamic municipality on Lake Constance.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Public Administration (Diplom/FH or B.A. Public Management), preferably specializing in Information Technology and Management, Digital Administrative Management (B.A.), Business Informatics (B.Sc.), or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT management, procurement, and controlling (advantageous)
