Job Summary
This role involves planning and executing complex epidemiological analyses within various cohort studies at the German Diabetes Center (DDZ), focusing specifically on biomarkers that determine the risk of diabetes and related complications. The Epidemiologist will be responsible for performing rigorous statistical analyses, coordinating research projects with internal and external partners, particularly within the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD e.V.), and effectively communicating results through publications and conferences. Key qualifications include a doctoral degree in epidemiology or biostatistics, strong knowledge of statistical analysis systems (like SAS or R), and excellent English communication skills. This is a diversified full-time position offering an initial contract until 2027, with a strong plan for extension until 2030, operating within a highly collaborative and family-friendly multidisciplinary research environment.
