Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a System Engineer to join the international technology group thyssenkrupp, focusing specifically on the drive batteries for submarines located in Kiel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle management of submarine drive batteries, including design, calculation (performance, quantity, and weight), and the creation of battery-specific specifications (SSDD, SSS). Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous requirements management, defining interfaces for the battery system, and generating order specifications based on customer needs. A critical component of the role is technical supervision throughout the entire process, including accompanying batteries during manufacturing at both subcontractor and internal facilities. The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with the DOORS requirements management tool, ensuring a high level of responsibility and technical understanding of system interactions.

  • Professional experience in system design and calculation (Performance, quantity, and weight)
  • Experience in handling technical requirements and generating interface definitions

  • Experience in accompanying manufacturing and acceptance processes (Factory, harbor, and sea tests)
  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or related technical fields
